Read America launches its new online Buddy Reader. Now schools, clinics, and individual homes can access live on-demand pages where students can practice reading basic code, adjacent consonants, and introduction to advanced code stories with full interactive support. Low visual memory students click on the sound picture to hear the sound. Poor blenders click below the word to hear the blended word. Slow readers click to have the page read back. The immediate student initiated feedback the program provides is expected to help hundreds of thousands of students in school, clinics and homes in the English speaking world. Flash animation and web based delivery make the technology easily accessible to anyone with internet access. The program is a creation of the Learning Labs at Read America. The one-time cost of the Buddy Reader program is $39 for home use and $69 a full school or clinic license.
